"I am very impressed by naproxen. I have two a day with my breakfast and supper and have felt so much better within a day or two of taking it. I have had very uncomfortable and painful osteoarthritis in both ankles. This is the first time in a year that I have felt almost pain free. I am very grateful to the rheumatologist who prescribed these tablets for me. I don’t know if I will be getting them on a repeat prescription or whether that’s my quota of medication over. I do not know what the side affects of this medication is . I am 67 years old and have played a lot of sport throughout my life and also worked in physically demanding jobs for most of my working life. This is the best I have felt in perhaps three years or so. I look forward to walking without pain and discomfort again. For me it is a miracle drug. I could not see myself getting better. Ultrasound massage definitely did help as well."

"I started taking naproxen in 1992. I'd take 2 in the morning 2 at noon or so and 2 at bedtime for years then increased the dosage to a 500mg prescription morning and night. I have taken over-the-counter naproxen for years then I started prescription naproxen. Doctors tried to switch me to other meds even injections and nothing has ever come close to taking away the pain other than naproxen. I always had stomach issues and acid reflux… I was addicted. I weaned myself off of it in 2022. Now I have pains and don’t sleep well at all. Started having heart issues in 2022 also… doctor hasn’t said it’s from naproxen but my whole family has heart issues so I suspect hereditary but who knows. Anyway, I love naproxen because it effectively eliminates most of my pain and allows me to live a relatively pain-free life. Nothing has ever compared to the relief it provides. However, since I haven't taken naproxen in a while, I can tell that it affects my stomach. I experience acid reflux as a result."

"Omg..What a horrible drug. I was prescribed this along with lamproserol to ease my osteoarthitis pain in upper back. Only took them for three days. Gave me the worse heartburn ever and terrible acid reflux. Will never ever take them again!"

"Naproxen 500 mg twice daily was the first medication to give me relief. The pain stopped, the itching stopped, I felt great!! I am medication sensitive, so I was pleasantly surprised. After about two weeks, my eyesight became blurry. In one eye, my dry macular degeneration changed to wet. I am now receiving shots in my eye. The retina doctor does believe the progression was caused by the medication. I can no longer take it, still need relief and miss this."

"I have taken 2-3 Naproxen 500mgs weekly for about 7 years for osteoarthritis in my feet knees and back and can honestly say if it wasn’t for Naproxen I don’t think I would be mobile. I limit my tablets to avoid any side effects and they really ease the pain, after a couple of days I start feeling pain and stiffness and can hardly walk so I know my next tablet is due. I think they are a great pain reliever . I am 73 and on good days very active…thank you Naproxen ."

"I have mild arthritis which gives me pain primarily in my hands, wrists & ankles. I take (2) 220 mg naproxen sodium before I walk 9 holes of golf in western PA which involves serious hills. I think it definitely helps me but wonder how long before I anticipate golfing I should take the naproxen sodium, 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours?"
